Hello, and welcome to Dr. Stephen Carolan’s Urogynocology Website! My name is Dr. Stephen Carolan, and I am a board-certified Urogynecologist with over 30 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. John’s University and my medical degree from New York Medical College, where I was a Harrison Scholar. Following medical school, I completed my residency and internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Connecticut Health Sciences Center. I am passionate about Urogynocology and have dedicated my career to improving the quality of life for those affected by pelvic floor disorders.
Through my website, I aim to provide valuable information and resources to patients and healthcare professionals interested in learning more about Urogynocology. I believe that patient education is critical to delivering the highest standard of care.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Medical College and a Clinical Instructor for Yale/Bridgeport Obstetrics and Gynecology residents. I am certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I am also an active member of professional organizations, such as the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
